What is typewriter mode?

Typewriter mode is a feature in Diarly designed to enhance your writing experience, especially when working on longer texts. By default, this mode is active in the app.

How to enable or disable Typewriter Mode on Mac

You can toggle Typewriter mode on or off based on your preference.

  1. Open Diarly on your device.
  2. Navigate to the MenuBar at the top of the screen.
  3. Click on View.
  4. Select Typewriter Mode to enable or disable it.

When Typewriter mode is activated, you'll notice the insertion point stays centered on the screen, making it easier to focus on your writing. If you turn it off, the insertion point will move as usual, typically reaching the bottom of the window as you write more content.
