Today view

The Today view brings together entries, memories, and insights from all your journals — focused on the current day. It’s designed to support daily reflection and consistent journaling.

What you see in the Today view

The Today view is made up of widgets — small, customizable blocks that show what’s relevant today. You might see your latest entries, writing suggestions, mood tracking, or moments from past years — all in one scrollable space.

⚙️ To see the full list of available widgets and customization options, scroll to the bottom of the Today view and tap Customize & Reorder.

Set your default start screen

You can choose which screen opens when you launch Diarly:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to the Initial screen section.
  3. Select one of the following options:
    • Recently opened
    • All
    • Today
    • A specific journal
