Sleep tracking
Connect Apple Health to add sleep duration to your journal entries. Sleep data can be added automatically with templates or inserted manually while writing.
Starting with iOS 18, sleep duration is available only when Apple Health has sleep data from Apple Watch, another sleep tracking app, or data added manually in the Health app.
Add sleep data with templates
Use templates to add sleep data to new entries automatically. While editing a template, insert $activity-sleep-time, or use the sleep icon in the toolbar.
When you create a new entry, Diarly adds the sleep duration available from Apple Health.
When sleep data is missing, click or tap the sleep item to see whether access is needed or the data should be imported from your iPhone.
Add sleep data manually
- Type
/sleepand selectInsert sleep time. - On iPhone or iPad, tap the sleep icon in the toolbar above the keyboard.
